Zwetschgenkuchen, Pflaumenkuchen or Zwetschgendatschi (southern Bavaria) is a cake made from yeast dough thinly spread onto a baking dish and covered with pitted zwetschgen/plums. It is popular as a summer cake and has different local labelings throughout Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
We offer the plum cake with or without crumbs.
The cake is wonderful by itself or great with whipped cream.
